Grady Health System – Atlanta, GA

As the Southeast’s largest public hospital system and Level 1 trauma center, Grady Health System (GHS) sees information technology as mission critical to their ability to meet the demands of their various constituents.  Faced with the need for more efficient and cost-effective operations, Grady recently launched a massive initiative to rebuild their entire telecommunications, data and wireless infrastructure for their 953 bed facility and affiliate centers.  This leading-edge, converged communications infrastructure will support their technology needs well into the future.

Since the project cuts across all of GHS’s in and out-patient departments, multiple teams, facilities and locations, as well as a myriad of technology vendors, Grady was rightfully concerned about project oversight and coordination to help ensure a seamless, user-friendly and time-sensitive transition.  For that role, Grady selected Onepath’s office of Governance and Project Management (GPMO).

Onepath assigned a Team of their expert resources to work as a transparent extension of Grady’s CIO to provide overarching leadership in creating an overall project plan, then tracked and communicated status of each of the multiple and simultaneous, projects.  Onepath’s GPMO is indeed helping Grady usher in a new and powerful generation of information technologies that will meet the Region’s expanding needs for excellence in health care.
